How much time is this going to take?

How many times have each of us heard that statement or actually said it yourself? If I had a dollar for every time I said or heard it I wouldn’t need to work.

Time. Our most valuable resource yet how much of it do we squander? The only commodity that is given in equal portion to everyone, regardless of wealth, status, position or whatever other title one wants to bestow on themselves. That’s fair right? Of course it is.

There’s one problem… if you don’t use it wisely and “waste” it, at the end of the day it’s gone… forever. You don’t get a do-over or get the time back. It’s a one and done.

Okay, so how much time do I really have and what are you really wanting from me? Well, honestly, that’s God’s call. But let’s do a little math. We have 8,760 hours over a period of one year, given to us in increments of 24 hours each day, of which the vast majority of your time is spent working and sleeping.

So the real issue is not that you don’t have the time (we all have it) but it’s how you decide to use it. When you ask someone to do something and they tell you “I don’t have the time,” what they are actually saying is “I’m choosing not to because… (insert reason here).” Now, there’s nothing wrong with their statement. It’s their decision as to how they want to “spend” their 24 hours of allotted time. They have to figure out how they want to portion out their daily allotment according to their own needs or wants.

What’s my point? What am I asking? If you average 30 minutes praying the rosary then I’m asking you to commit (or allot) 20 hours of your time to this cause. That’s about .002% (about 1/5 of a percent) of your total annual hours. I’m simply asking you to “choose” to give this campaign a “small” portion of this precious commodity. It’s your time. It’s your decision.

Regardless, make a decision. Choose how you want to allot your daily portion. I hope you will give this campaign time from your portion. I’d appreciate it, but more importantly, our Bishop and for those whom we will pray for in the future need it. So if you are ready to say “Yes, I choose to give this campaign the time,” then go to the Join the Campaign Page, complete the form, get your rosary at the ready and begin.

Thank you for your time…

God Bless. ~Robert
